Voice over Jobs Can Lead to on Camera Work in the TV Industry

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Have you ever heard an audio book? If so, you have listened to a voice person. Audio book recital is just one of the many voice over jobs that are accessible out in the entertainment industry. If someone is recording an audio book, they would typically sit in a studio and read the book out loud. Sometimes the voice over actor will use different sounds for different characters, but other times they do not need to. The voice over artist will read until he or she has done it right. An audio book reading needs to be clear and there are no faults allowed.

There are voice over jobs in points that you would never think of them. One idea that has grown relatively fashionable in many holiday regions is the self guided tour. These may be established at attractions like a park or on occasion they are position by the Chamber of Commerce and are made to include the entire town. The visitor listens to information about each part of the attraction on a small receiver. The info was recorded by a voice over artist.

New Photos of Hackney Wick Olympic Media Offices Released

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

The progress in the construction work of the Hackney Wick Olympic media centre can now be seen by all after the Olympic Delivery Authority made photos of the venue public.

The pictures, taken from webcams that continuously keep a track of the work progress here, have been posted on the London 2012 site and show the development of the International Broadcast Centre and the Main Press Centre on the banks of the River Lea.

The media centre will house nearly 20,000 journalists, photographers, and broadcasters from different countries, who will gather in London to telecast and report the Olympic games to about four billion people around the world.

Brushing aside all earlier disputes about the venue’s design, the Olympic Delivery Authority said the new images make it evident that the building will be up by the 2011 deadline.

Chair of the London 2012 Organizing Committee, Sebastian Coe said that the images show the progressive efforts of the body to create an atmosphere where all media persons can have easy access to the games of 2012. He pointed out that this was all the more necessary since sports enthusiasts around the globe depended on the media to see the Olympics and the lively environment generated during the games.

Jules Pipe, the Mayor of Hackney, added that the facility was a constructive economic investment, opening up new vistas of business development and employment.

Hammerson to buy JP Morgan’s Proposed Headquarters Site

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

The huge British REIT Hammerson is all set to buy a major development site in London’s Square Mile that was initially proposed to be the headquarters of JP Morgan. The change in plans took place after there was a change in the proposed use of the site.

A conditional agreement entered into by the three parties, viz. JP Morgan, Hammerson and the City of London a couple of years back, laid down a blueprint for creation of a 1 million square foot complex intended to be used as JP Morgan’s headquarters. Hammerson was to look after the development of the property, and on finalization of the project, Morgan was supposed to own the entire complex.

However, it was later discovered that the proposed office design of the building was not in sync with the needs of the bank, which resulted in the bank deciding to change the location of its headquarters to a larger area in Riverside South in Canary Wharf. This office relocation decision led to significant losses for Hammerson.

The present deal proposed to be finalized between the City of London and Hammerson is aimed at covering some of the losses incurred as costs of development on the property. It is apparent that there will not be any down payments to begin with. However, no final decision has yet been made.

The price of property and office rentals may fluctuate in either direction depending upon a number of factors, including the global economic downturn as well as changing rents that are expected to reach a new high in a few years from now.

How to Flyer Design

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Lacking the wonderful design for your flyers, flyer printing may waste away valuable marketing dollars. Follow these quick and easy flyer printing design tips to ensure your flyers receive a positive response and not a destructive one. Remember - your flyers speak for you when you can’t be there!

1. The first tip out of the flyer printing design tips is to keep things clean and efficient. Complex designs, busy imagery and crammed content may look terrific but you need customers to take one look at your flyer and know exactly what it’s all about. Keep the design uncomplicated and appealing and ensure the reader can certainly see what it’s in relation to. You need to be able to get the message across to everyone, trash those people who take the flyer and put it in the bin later on.

2. Double check your copy before sending the design off for flyer printing. Spelling errors, grammatical errors, punctuation mistakes and other content errors can give you a poor reputation. If a potential customer reads a flyer with an error in it, all they will see is the error and not what the flyer is about. It can also have the negative effect of reflecting poorly on the proficiency of your business.

3. Be sure you check with the flyer printing company how much bleed they need. Bleed is essential for ensuring print jobs don’t come back with part of the flyer cut off leaving a white gap or missing text. Make sure you have enough bleed around the design of your flyer to avoid this.

4. Make sure your design accurately speaks to the right clientle. If you are targeting parents with young children it’s no good designing flyers that are attractive to the elderly, if you are targeting Teenagers, make sure the flyer will speak to them. The design has to suggest the customers you are targeting with your flyer printing in order to be triumphant.

Does Christopher Columbus Was Looking For Seo-Mate?

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

When Christopher Columbus first came to this great country he had no idea what a trend he’d started.

The same could be said about the people who brought the Internet online for the masses to share websites and emails.

When the Internet started to take on a life of its own more and more people wanted to tame the beast by figuring out what made her tick, and they did this with seo.

Search engines provide all the traffic to just about every website on the web so it stands to reason that if you want traffic you will need to live by the search engines rules of quality website building.

There is no arguing with the search engines these days, if your site doesn’t pass the stringent codes of ethics, codes of simplicity, and codes of quality content then you simply won’t make it to the top of any search engine pile of search results.

Working with the search engines to bring quality content (their product is your content) to the web helps you bring your product to the web as they will often reciprocate your efforts ten fold if you play your cards right.

Unfortunately seo is no just about playing by all the rules as the search engines would have you believe, although its not about breaking any either!

Increase Your Website Traffic With Article Marketing

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Recently, the concept of marketing your website with articles has gained popularity. Many site owners are having articles written and published on various article directories. The reason is simple, traffic.

Why Article Marketing?

The demand for quality content online never ceases. Smart webmasters realize that by providing this quality content and giving permission for other webmasters to republish their articles results in an excellent opportunity to expose their website to their target audience.

Each article that you write and distribute gives you the chance to plug your site or newsletter in the about the author section. You can typically link directly to your site, and sometimes even can use HTML and link your primary keywords in the anchor text. This gives you some nice, relevant backlinks. Its not uncommon to receive thousands of unique backlinks for each article submitted, as over time your article will continue to be picked up for redistribution by other webmasters.

That’s why article marketing is so popular, its a winning situation all around. Other webmasters can add your quality articles to their sites for free, and you get exposure and links. Everybody is happy.

But I cant Write!

Writing a good article is actually surprisingly easy, especially if you are already an expert on your topic. Articles only need to be about 300 - 500 words, and be well written and without spelling and grammatical errors. Even if you are trying to write about a topic that you are not as familiar with, you have options.

Many webmasters outsource the creation of articles. If you visit any web freelance site, such as elance.com, you can usually find someone to write articles for you on any topic for between $10 to $40 per article. As with anything, buyer beware. Its best to give a prospective writer a small assignment first of only a few article to get a feel for the quality of their writing. Remember, the articles that you submit are representing you and your website. Quality matters.

How and Where to Submit Articles?

So, you have written your article, checked it for spelling and grammar and its ready to go…now what? You need to distribute your article to Article Directories, Article Announcement Lists and you can even submit your article directly to industry specific sites.

Many article marketers find that using an article submission software can speed up the time it takes to submit your articles. Article submission software also can help with the “where do I submit to?” question as well. The article submission sites and announcement lists come pre loaded with directories and other sites that accept submissions. You can also add your own sites to the list.

I highly recommend using an article submission software package to submit your articles. The time savings alone is substantial. Personally, I use the article submission software to submit to the “basic” directories & portals. Then, I go to Google and type in my topic and “submit article”. Usually, I will have tens or even hundreds more sites that cater specifically to the niche I am promoting. I then submit to those niche sites as well. This technique is not something I see being widely done, however, so there’s a good tip for you!

The traffic from articles submitted to niche sites as well as the directories is substantially higher than the traffic from articles submitted to directories alone.

There you have it. Marketing your website with articles is a great way to get traffic, links and expose your website to new visitors. Its easier than it sounds, even for those that think they cant write. Just try it! Chances are you will be adding Article marketing to your standard internet marketing box of tricks.
