It was a love story about people in denial. (No news there.) Still, I knew if I looked hard enough, I could find a way.

I woke that night at 3 AM with an idea so outrageous, I knew it had to work. I raced out to the office supply store the minute it opened to pick up several packs of clear labels. I got out the postcards I had printed with the book cover on them and stuck on labels with the following slogan:

I mailed 500 postcards out that day while praying the election wouldn’t get called. I mailed these postcards to everyone in the media I’d ever contacted. Ever!

Days after my mass-mailing, I was walking through my living room when suddenly I spotted my book cover on the screen. I was stunned. The local TV anchor was saying, “This has got to be the best thing I’ve ever seen. This lady wants you to go buy her book. I say everyone should rush out and buy it.” And everyone did. That afternoon my book shot up to the #1 spot on Amazon where it stayed for three months. It even beat out Harry Potter (which was #4 at that time) yet Harry got the movie. Go figure.

That single postcard shot my book up the ranks at Amazon and quite literally changed my life and the way I look at marketing. To this day, people in the industry still know me as The Cliffhanger lady. And I’m happy and proud about that.

I am not asking you to believe every word that I say but listen to your heart and tell me if I am right or wrong. Poetry finds a new charm either when you are in love or out of love.
Go back to that old crest bring out that old diary, turn through the pages now do you remember when you had written those line. No matter how silly they are it must have been about something beautiful when you were in love with someone really charming.
Don’t be shocked to find a few more lines on same person blaming him for all your tears.

I don’t know why people tend to write when they are in love or out of love. Maybe it’s a good way to express themselves maybe writing makes the heart feel lighter. Maybe it gives a way to vent all those feelings that were stacked inside your heart, you always wanted to say it but never knew how. Most of the beautiful poetic works have been written during this stage.

So next time when you are too much in love or when you feel dumped don’t worry, just pickup a pen and write your heart out. You never know where it might take you!!!

But what if you’re not yet a super affiliate, and can’t fathom a basement full of treadmills to review for your exercise site?

Well, do what your customer would do if product reviews didn’t exist on the Internet - go to the store and test those treadmills out!

And how do you review acne medications for your skin care site if you don’t have acne? Surely, you have some friends with (previously) pimply-faced teenagers… ask them to tell you what worked for them.

I need to guilt some girl into cleaning for me so I can just sit up here in the cig smoke.

You’ve set your wedding budget and booked a reception venue that you can afford. But there’s this one little problem: your guest list keeps growing! Your parents insist that you have to invite an old family friend; your co-workers ask if they can bring their boyfriends. And then there’s the common etiquette dilemma of ‘having’ to invite an entire group of people (rather than the few members you really like) because they would be ‘offended’.

Don’t know what to do? Here are some ways to get your guest list (and the cost of your reception) back under control:

1. Divide your total head count into three: a third to the bride’s parents, a third to the groom’s parents, and a third to the bride and groom.

2. Trim friends you haven’t seen in years. You won’t have any chance to really talk during the wedding, anyway.

3. Don’t invite co-workers unless they’re really your friends (i.e., you go out with them regularly, and would probably be just as close even if any one of you changed jobs) Ask one person out of courtesy, and you’ll have to ask all.

4. Discourage guests from bringing kids or dates. A tactful way of doing this is to print seating cards (”we have reserved __ seats for you at Table __”) and insert them in the invitations.

5. Switch places. Ask yourself, “Would I be hurt if they didn’t invite me to their wedding?” If the answer is no, cut them from your list.
